Raleigh Man Faces Animal Cruelty Charges
The Wake County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man following the discovery of deceased animals at his home. Wake County Deputies have charged (suspect), age 29, with 2 felony counts of Animal Cruelty and one count of Animal Cruelty, which is a misdemeanor. Shortly before 3 p.m., earlier today, deputies were requested to assist Animal Control Officers at a reported animal cruelty case at the 5900 block of (street redacted for this exercise), in Raleigh. Once on scene, deputies observed one recently deceased dog chained to a tree, one malnourished dog that was still alive and another dog’s remains chained to another tree. (Suspect) was identified as the person in charge of taking care of the dogs. (Suspect) was booked into the Wake County Detention Center, with the bond set at $10,000.

Wake County Sheriff's deputies found the pets this afternoon in Southeast Raleigh, and the 29-year-old suspect, (name redacted for this exercise), is facing two felonies and one misdemeanor animal cruelty charge, after a third dog was also found, malnourished but still alive. Deputies say one of the dogs looked like it died recently, but the other's remains had been chained to a tree for some time. Tonight, (suspect) is in the Wake County Detention Center, under a 10-thousand-dollar bond.
